21st Century Community Learning Centers
Vision Statement
To provide a safe and supportive enviroment that empowers students while meeting their academic, social, and physical needs by involving parents, the school and the community.

"It is the awesomest place in the whole universe and no other program can replace this program!" - Bolivar-Richburg Central School Student, 2009
School can be a challenge. After School can help! Each program offers homework assistance provided by school staff, mentoring and individual tutoring with trained high school students through Literacy West, Inc. Students are offered educational, social, cultural, recreational, and youth development activities after school.
"We always get homework help at Study Center. Sometimes high school tutors will help you, and the teachers are always there to help." - Bolivar-Richburg Central School Student, 2009
"My son sure does enjoy this program. He has been doing the tutoring since day one and he loves it and so do I. His grades have improved tremendously and they have taken the kids to some very educational events." - Scio Central School Parent, 2009
Each month, students sign up for one to four exciting clubs that are created based on their interests.
"We have a bunch of stuff you can do. This month we got to make mosiacs, we got to play Guitar Hero and the Wii, and there's a lot of arts and crafts to do in Nature and Fishing." - Bolivar-Richburg Central School Student 2009
Some of the clubs include Space Explorers, Geocaching, Aluminum Chroming, Goop and Goo, Disaster Dissectors, Animal Behavior, Crime Scene Investigation, Painting, and Stop Action Animation.

Students in Youth Action get involved! The projects and activities are youth initiated and driven. Students plan and host community events and experience the benefits of providing services to people, local and around the world.
"ACCORD Corporation's 21st Century Community Learning Center in coordination with Belfast Central School held the 2nd Annual Halloween Event. The October 31st community party offered a safe alternative for BCS tricksters and goblins of all ages. Over 150 students, family and community members joined in on the admission-free activities. Many arrived in costume which made for a spectacular party." - Belfast Central School Newsletter, November 2009
Sign up for After School, but go so much further! Monthly field trips to Alfred University offer students amazing opportunities through the Children and Youth's Learning Initiative. Tour the Equestrian Center, Blow Stuff Up, Test Your Trivia, Be Drawn to Diversity, or Print-O-Ganza; trips to Alfred are always exciting!
"They have been taking monthly field trips to a local college of the arts which I think is fantastic!" - Belfast Central School Parent 2009
