Everybody's Baby Shower - Helping Those Too Little To Ask
July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010
Who doesn't love babies? The Community Action Angels Network of New York is collecting baby items to distribute to mothers-to-be across the state. ACCORD Corporation is proud to assist in this effort by conducting a baby supply drive July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010. Items needed include:
Diapers ~ Wipes ~ Rash Ointment ~ Formula ~ Infant Cereals ~ Sleepers ~ Onesies ~ Blankets ~ Tearless Shampoo ~ Infant Tub ~ Bibs ~ Pacifiers ~ Socket Plugs ~ Cabinet Locks ~ Changing Pad ~ Baby Bottle ~ Sippy Cup ~ Clothing to Size 3 ~ Parenting Book ~ Sweater n Hat ~ Crib Sheets ~ Any cash donation will be used for the purchase of cribs and/or car seats

Allegany County Community Action Day
Saturday, August 28, 2010 - Alfred and Wellsville Communities
The Community Action Day will kick off in Alfred and Wellsville in the morning and then groups will depart for project sites to engage in a full day of service. The day will culminate in a community-wide celebration and picnic on the Alfred State College campus.

Fall Business Training Camp
September 7 through November 18, 2010
ACCORD Corporation's Allegany Business Center is inviting small businesses and prospective business owners to take the next step in their business planning with a Fall Business Training Camp. Entrepreneurs will learn how to develop a business/strategy plan, tax issues, location, marketing, finding financing, insurance, legal issues, financial projections, competition, and record keeping. Computer instruction is also included at no additional cost. Classes will be presented by a variety of instructors including local busniess owners and professionals in specialized fields of expertise. Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 PM at the Crossroaads Commerce Center in Belvedere. Course participants may take part in a Business Plan Contest, with the winner receiving memberships to local Chambers of Commerce.
Upon completion of the training camp, participants may be eligible to apply for low interest business loans through Allegany Community Development Services, Inc. Seating for the course is limited.
