
What is a Community Needs Assessment?
As a Community Action Agency, ACCORD is federally required to conduct a Community Needs Assessments every three years. These assessments help determine the underlying causes and conditions of poverty within our neighborhoods and identify unmet needs. The assessment then guides our work to implement programs that help our most vulnerable residents out of poverty.
*Community Member Survey - 57 question survey completed by individuals throughout the community that collects demographic and household data and asks about individual, family, and community needs, strengths, and resources in the opinion of the survey responder.
*Board, Volunteer & Staff Survey- 9 question survey completed by ACCORD staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers.
*Partner Survey-9 question survey completed collaborative partners who engage with the agency with referrals, formal legal agreements, MOUs, shared resources, etc.
