Community Action Angels

Frequently, the pressing needs of families striving for stability fall outside the scope of traditional funding guidelines. Basic essentials like household goods, bedding, clothing, school supplies, holiday gifts, and access to transportation are crucial for a family's societal functioning. Unfortunately, these critical needs often remain unmet by standard funding sources. Addressing these immediate emergency needs is essential to enable families to concentrate on their long-term self-sufficiency goals and achieve stability.

ACCORD's Community Action Angels play a crucial role in bridging this gap and are frequently the sole source available for providing such assistance. This all-volunteer and donation-driven project, operating under ACCORD, has had a positive impact on numerous individuals in the community. The program actively receives requests for everyday necessities and, through a network of dedicated volunteers, strives to fulfill these needs on an individual basis. The collective efforts of Community Action Angels aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing immediate challenges, emphasizing the importance of community support in times of need.

Warehouse

Located at 5823 St. Rte 417, Allentown
Open Thursdays from 10 AM to 2 PM and the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10 AM to 2 PM.

The Community Action Angels Warehouse is managed by a team of committed volunteers. If you find yourself in need of household items, you are welcome to visit during the specified open hours. Take the opportunity to explore and select the items you require; these have been generously donated by members of the community. The open-door policy allows individuals to access essential items with dignity, fostering a sense of community support and cooperation.

Items distributed are not intended for resale. Community Action Angels relies upon donations to provide household furnishings to low-income individuals and families who need household furnishings for personal use or for those who have experienced a sudden loss of housing and are re-furnishing their homes.  Thank you for recognizing the importance of reserving household items for community members in need.

Donations

We appreciate and welcome donations at 5823 St. Route 417, Allentown, during our warehouse operating hours on Thursdays from 10 AM to 2 PM and the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10 AM to 2 PM.

To ensure proper handling, please plan to drop off donations during our warehouse operating hours and refrain from leaving items on the steps or at the garage door. Volunteers may not be able to assist with carrying large or heavy objects, so please keep this in mind. If you're considering a substantial donation, reach out to us in advance so that we can coordinate appropriate arrangements.

Additionally, we kindly ask that you review our donation guidelines for detailed information on the types of items we can receive and distribute. Your cooperation is crucial in helping us efficiently manage and distribute donations to those in need.

Moreover, monetary donations contribute to providing the program with a flexible source of funding to aid in purchasing specific items for those in need. You can make monetary donations in person at 84 Schuyler Street, Belmont, or mail them to:
