Community Action Angels brings together volunteers, community resources, and opportunities to make a difference across ACCORD's programs and services.
About Community Action Angels
Originally established by the New York State Community Action Association (NYSCAA), Community Action Angels is a statewide initiative that promotes volunteerism and strengthens community engagement through New York's Community Action network.
ACCORD adopted the initiative to organize and coordinate volunteer efforts across the agency while responding to needs that may fall outside traditional programs and funding resources.
Through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and community partners, Community Action Angels helps expand available resources, support essential services, and strengthen connections throughout Allegany County.

Making a Difference Across ACCORD
Community Action Angels supports volunteer involvement throughout ACCORD's programs, services, and community initiatives.
Depending on current needs and opportunities, volunteers may contribute by supporting food and basic needs assistance, organizing donations, participating in community events, assisting with seasonal projects, and helping with other activities that strengthen agency services.
These contributions help ACCORD extend its reach, respond to emerging community needs, and create meaningful opportunities for community involvement.
Community Action Angels Warehouse
Helping Make a House a Home
One of the initiative's ongoing efforts is the Community Action Angels Warehouse in Allentown.
Operated by dedicated volunteers, the warehouse provides donated household goods and furnishings at no cost to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, housing transitions, or unexpected challenges.
Available items vary based on community donations.

Household items are intended for personal use and may not be resold.
Donating Household Goods
Donations of household goods and furnishings are accepted during regular warehouse hours.
For larger donations or arrangements outside scheduled hours, please contact us in advance.
Please do not leave donations outside the warehouse. Volunteers may not be available to assist with unloading large or heavy items.
