Christmas Came Early to ACCORD Head Start

Rogan Perkins, an Andover 8th grade student made a generous toy donation to ACCORD Head Start this week. Rogan just completed his third year of his holiday business; making and selling his gnome artwork. Rogan uses all proceeds he earns to purchase and donate toys to young children, this year choosing to donate to ACCORD Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms. He was even so generous to gift Head Start staff with his artwork.

Rogan’s gnomes were available this year at two local holiday craft shows, and through his mom’s Facebook page. When Rogan started selling his artwork in 2020, he earned over $200. Last year he saw an incredible expansion in his sales, earning over $700. This year Rogan raised $1,040 and used all of the funds he earned to purchase toys for ACCORD Early Head Start and Head Start students.

Rogan enjoys creating his gnome artwork, in addition to playing modified basketball, soccer, and baseball. Rogan brought his love for crafts and sports, especially baseball, to the Head Start students through his toy donation.

Thank you for your donation, Rogan. We are so thankful you chose our program!
