Self-care can help:

Improve relationships
At Home:
Do what makes you happy- if even for just a few minutes.
-
Enjoy your favorite meal or dessert
-
Get physical – take a walk, do yoga or a stretching routine
-
Get healthy- eat plenty of fruits and veggies and all the other things in moderation
-
Engage in sports or recreation
-
Play with the kids
-
Phone a supportive friend
-
Schedule a day or night out with friends
-
Practice controlled breathing techniques
-
Practice mindfulness and meditation
-
Seek alternative therapies like reiki, reflexology or acupuncture
At work:
-
Physical movement and exercise- take your breaks- dance, walk or just get some fresh air
-
Interact with positive people as much as you can
-
Take a lunch break, and take a lunch break away from your computer/desk/office/work site
-
Express gratitude to a coworker. You’ll be surprised at how much it lifts both of you up!
-
Seek out a trusted colleague if you need to vent frustrations safely.
It is always ok to ask for help.
