Belfast ACCESS Center Will Open With Limited Hours

Beginning Friday, February 10, 2011 the Belfast ACCESS Center will be open the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 8 am to 4pm.

The Belmont ACCESS Center, Bolivar ACCESS Center and Wellsville ACCESS Center will continue to provide services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Should you have any questions, please call (585) 268-7605. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Allegany and Cattaraugus County Youth Need Your Help!

The Opportunity Community is a community that encourages everyone to work together to provide people in poverty opportunities to realize their strengths and reach their potential for moving forward towards a self-sufficient life. We are in need of Adults who can be a loyal and caring mentor for a youth in the community! A Navigator is an adult community member interested in investing time with youth. A Navigator is able to demonstrate and share life success with youth through contact twice a month. Contacts will be formal (face-to-face visits) and/or informal (phone, text or social media).

Are you eligible for FREE tax preparation?

The Allegany County United Way and the Bank of America Charitable Foundation have joined forces to provide free tax preparation, filing and other social services to hardworking individuals and families residing in Allegany County who qualify for the Federal Government's Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program. ACCORD Closes TASA Program

Due to unfortunate changes in the State's Medicaid policy, ACCORD Corporation has been required to close the Teenage Services Act (TASA) Program. ACCORD Corporation received notification in late August from the Department of Health that the program would be discontinued on October 1, 2011; however, and with extraordinary advocacy, an extension was granted until December 1, 2011. NY Connects: Allegany County provides services to older adults so they can live independently as long as possible, younger adults after an injury or health crisis; families of children living with a disability; and anyone, regardless of age, living with a disability. Credit Repair Counseling and Financial Education Services Are Also Available at ACCORD - Financial education fosters financial stability for individuals, businesses and for entire communities. The more that people know about credit and banking services, the more likely they are to increase savings, start businesses, buy homes, and improve their financial health and well-being. The credit repair assistance through the Allegany Business Center helps individuals build financial knowledge, develop financial confidence, and use banking services effectively.
